Yakubu 'flattered' by Boro interest

With Middlesbrough rumoured to have posted a £4.5m bid for the Nigerian striker - which Portsmouth have dismissed - Yakubu's representative Barry Silkman has admitted that his client is flattered by the interest shown in him.

"Yakubu is on holiday in the USA at the moment and he is very flattered that clubs want to sign him and if an agreement is reached, then we will talk with clubs." said Silkman.
