Jed Wallace has completed his transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers, signing a three-year-deal with the Championship club.
The 20-year-old's buy-out clause was met by Wolves and it is understood that Pompey will receive a fee of around £275,000 for the midfielder which is a bargain for one of League Two's outstanding young talents.
Pompey fans will undoubtedly miss Jed for his goalscoring abilities from midfield as well as his workrate and his determination to stick at it even when things aren't going well. We can only wish him well at his new club after everything he has done to keep his former one in the Football League.
Hopefully there was a sell-on clause placed in his contract as there is a possibility that Wallace could play at the highest level once he matures as a player. For now, Wolves fans will surely delight in having him in their team next season.
All the best, Jed.
