Fratton Faithful would like to welcome David Lampitt as Portsmouth FC's new C.E.O.
David joins Pompey after seven years at the Football Association, most recently as the FA Head of Integrity which is ironic given how this club's name has been dragged through the mud during the last year.
Previous to his work with the FA, Mr. Lampitt has worked for major accountancy firms in London and Paris. He is also a qualified chartered accountant so he should be good with money, which is going to be essential in the rebuilding of this club.
In a statement on the official website, David says he "can't promise a quick fix" and I'm sure all of our fans will be understanding in that. I think we all know that it is going to take a long time to repair the damage that the previous regime has done to this proud club.
There is reward to be had if things can be turned around. This club has always had "huge potential" and hopefully David can help this club realise its true potential after the storm has passed.
But only time will tell if our new C.E.O has a broom and bucket large enough to clean up the mess that Pompey currently finds itself in, but he surely can't be as inept as our previous C.E.O, can he?
Welcome to the madhouse, David!
