Joel Ward has completed his move to Crystal Palace in a deal worth £400,000.
The 22-year-old was linked to a whole host of clubs due to his work rate and versatility but I'm surprised he has chosen to join Dougie Freedman's team.
If I'm being completely honest, I don't think the Emsworth lad has had a particularly great season. If he wasn't local and didn't score against Southampton earlier in he season then I believe he would have been given a bit more stick from the crowd.
Still, he always gave his all for us, was always willing to play in just about any position and certainly contributed to the cause during his time at Fratton Park.
He will be missed but I wish him well at Selhurst Park. It's just a shame the club have sold another promising player at a knockdown price and I wonder, who will be the next one to leave?
