Luke Varney has completed his move to Leeds United, signing a two-year-deal with the Elland Road club for an undisclosed fee.
If any Leeds fan are reading this, then Neil Warnock has signed a player who possesses plenty of pace to take the ball past defenders and set up plenty of chances, but his shooting is often frustrating.
Pompey fans never saw the best of the 29-year-old due to a long term injury and thus he only scored six goals during his season at Fratton Park and became a bit of a "boo boy" towards the end of his short stay at Pompey.
Leeds has also signed Jamie Ashdown as backup to Paddy Kenny. The former Pompey keeper came into his own at the end of last season as his reflexes produced some outstanding saves to keep us in matches, most notably at Southampton.
His commanding of his area hasn't been that great in the past and he is prone to the odd gaffe now and again but there aren't too many better shot stoppers in the Championship.
Fratton Faithful wishes both Luke and Jamie the best in their future careers at Elland Road.
