Pompey have offerered John Utaka to French club Bordeaux, according to their president, Jean-Louis Tiaud.
The Frenchman said: "Effectively, John Utaka has been offered to us, I told that to Laurent Blanc (Bordeaux's first team coach) but I don't deal with the sporting side of things."
"I pass things on but it's the coach makes the decisions. No decision has yet been taken but I know John wants to return to France."
The papers have been reporting that Bordeaux could pay £7 million for one of Pompey's biggest flops after such a bright start to his career in England. I would be delighted with a price anywhere near that figure given that we forked out £8.1 million for him in the first place.
Still, you're not going to take the credit for that one are you, Harry?
