PKF has nominated the Portsmouth Supporters' Trust as the preferred bidders for Portsmouth Football Club.
The decision to pick the PST over Portpin was finalised today and the Trust will soon issue a share prospectus for those that have pledged their £1,000 to buy the club.
Whilst there are many critics of the Trust and their bid, they are surely a better option than Balram Chainrai's Portpin and it's obvious the Football League officials agree, having reportedly rejected his bid because of "concerns regarding past transactions" - so much for being confident, eh Mr. Chainrai?
Of course, there is a long way to go yet before the club is bought and cynical me still believes that there is a twist or two yet to come in this long, dragged out tale.
For instance, what will become of Sacha's land? If that is acquired by another party then that will throw a spanner in the works.
At least Portsmouth FC has taken a step closer to stability, but how long will it take for this journey to be completed?
