Transfer talk in overdrive

The Nigel Reo-Coker rumours have begun again, but lets face it, that's getting tiresome now, so we start with news that Pompey may join the race for Crewe Alexandra's 23 year old defender David Wright, who has been linked with Everton and Charlton among others. With Swansea putting up a fight to keep Richard Duffy, Redknapp may turn his attention to the highly-rated Wright.

Number one objective of course is a striker, and Dada Prso, the Croatian who hit four goals against Deportivo in Monaco's 8-3 win a month back, has been interesting Redknapp, who name-dropped the forward in an interview earlier this week.

Peter Storrie preferred to put forward a cheaper option: Man City's Darren Huckerby (remember him?) who has helped Norwich City climb to second in the Divison One table.

Norwich are struggling to find the 750k in order to sign him permanently and Pompey may try to hijack the deal. Storrie said: "It's for Harry to weigh up. He's got tremendous pace, but Harry also has to consider whether he's better than what we've got".
