Time for a round-up of the latest and greatest. Apparently Perrin wants five more players, as told to the assembled media after the Bordeaux game, but he's certainly keeping his cards close to his chest - a couple of potential signings on the horizon but nothing concrete. And no, we still haven't signed Henri Camara (snigger).
Alexsander Rodic
After a week on trial at Metz, they've decided that they don't want him either. You can't help but feel a bit sorry for last season's answer to Sebastian Olszar as he was only brought in as a short term option, barely had the chance to impress (although he didn't do badly when he did play) and now finds himself out of favour with the new manager. Them's the breaks.
Azar Karadas
A Norweigan striker currently plying his trade for Benfica, Karadas was used sparingly last season but still managed to get four goals. Rumour-mongers across the south of England reckon that he's having a medical with us in France today.
Sander Westerveld
Apparently local radio reckon we're in for this 32-year-old former Liverpool keeper. Currently playing for Mallorca, he left this country after a series of high profile mistakes. He should fit right in then... (although in all seriousness I would like to see him here as at least he has experience at the highest level and has shown himself to be good enough for European competition and his country).
Collins Mbesuma
Due to Zambia's elevation to 62nd place, the South African Broadcasting Corporation are reporting that the deal is all but done. Still it depends on what your maths is like; the Official Site reckon he's still 0.37 below the necessary qualifications since it's done on average, whilst some reckon he hasn't even played enough games. If the deal goes through - which it will - it's been revealed the cost should be around £1.3m.
Ricardo Fuller
Heavily linked with Wolves in a £1m move, as Glenn Hoddle has announced he is tracking two "big Premiership players". Well he is quite tall I guess. He could do a job there though as he's certainly a proven striker at that level, even if the Premiership has appeared beyond his talents.
David Unsworth
Another player linked with Wolves, and once again I can only presume this ties in with the "BIG Premiership players" bit.
Damien Francis
As the replacement for Smertin in the "ludicrously long running transfer saga", it appears this one will soon be brought back to life. Norwich have just signed Andy Hughes from Reading and have made an offer for Spurs' young talent Dean Marney, meaning that shortly the Canaries will have plenty of numbers in midfield. So surely, someone must be on their way out? Conspiracy theorists can have a field day with this one.
Svetoslav Todorov and Vincent Pericard
Apparently Alain doesn't think they've recovered from injury and wants to send the pair of them out on loan to a lower league club in order to get some match experience. What odds on a certain Mr H Redknapp of Poole making an offer to borrow one of them?
Shaka Hislop
Admittedly not on our books anymore, but after moves to Coventry and Ipswich fell through he's now on trial at Crystal Palace.
That's all for now.
