Arjan De Zeeuw
Wigan are reporting that he's passed his medical. De Zeeuw himself has been on Sky Sports News and said that the reason he wanted a move was because he fell out with Perrin - you can see that one right now, "excuse me Alain but I want to play every week"; "how about no"; "how about I'm off then" - but he also admitted that Paul Jewell had been in contact beforehand if he ever wanted a move. Not that I'm accusing Wigan of tapping up or anything (still they don't need to worry, they're not high profile enough to be investigated as it is). At our end we're still keen to hold on to Arjan until we get a replacement in, but whether or not there's any point holding on to someone who wants away is open to debate.
Lomana LuaLua
Full marks to "The Quay" this morning who put everyone on high alert by reporting that we were open to offers to him and that Spurs would be interested. In reality, Alain Perrin had said in his questionable English that all players have a price. Congratulations to the journalist responsible for this story. You penis.
Peggay Luyindula
Milan rates our chances of signing the French striker as "above 50%", although we face competition from Auxerre - managed by Luyindula's former coach and ex-Spurs boss, Jacques Santini. Another major stumbling block is believed to be the high wages currently being dished out by Marseille, and whether or not they'd be willing to still pay a percentage of them whilst he is with us on loan.
Svetoslav Todorov
In demand from ten Championship clubs, so we're told, with Cardiff and Southampton both known to be sniffing around the Bulgarian hitman. Apparently he'll think about where he's going to go once our season gets underway and he completes his Pompey pre-season training programme.
Jason Euell
An alleged target before we learnt of the £2.8m transfer fee, he certainly won't be going to us or anyone else in the near future as he's had to undergo shoulder surgery.
