It was supposed to be a hectic final few hours of the January transfer window with players needing to be sold to pay the bills. But it hasn't turned out that way with only one departure today.
Ryan Williams has completed his £400,000 move to Fulham tonight, signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Cottagers.
As for Jason Pearce, the local media say that three bids have been rejected for him today, one from Ipswich and two from other Championship clubs.
However, tonight Pearce has tweeted that he is "pleased to be staying with the wolfpack" and so he won't be leaving. Stephen Henderson also won't be leaving as he tweeted earlier that he was happy to stay at the club and wanted to quash the transfer speculation.
Earlier today, Greg Halford tweeted that he was 99.999999% certain of staying at Portsmouth and so he is set to start against Hull next week. There has been nothing about Joel Ward but with so little time remaining, it's very unlikely he'll be leaving.
There was some bad news as Joe Mattock was loaned to Brighton for the rest of the season but given how bad today might have been, it isn't a major blow.
You would have expected more than a single depature today, so what is Pompey's plan to pay the outstanding tax bill? I feel David Lampitt will have plenty of talking to do tomorrow.
