The main news is that Benjani could be joining Manchester City after all. The Pompey fan favourite is said to be having a medical at Eastlands but he will only be allowed to leave if Harry Redknapp can finally get his hands on Jermain Defoe from Tottenham.
The other main rumour doing the rounds today is that Pompey are looking to bring in Jonas Gutierrez from Mallorca for £5 million plus Lauren. So it'll be interesting to see what happens there as sources in Spain claim the deal is already done.
Redknapp also says he's looking to bring in Charlton winger Jerome Thomas on loan, although Charlton are only interested in a permanent deal.
Sean Davis has also been linked with a £3 million move to Fulham.
In other news, there were reports that Sacha was willing to sell Pompey for around £60 million - thus making a profit. The club have today made a statement insisting that Gaydamak is staying, so that's some good news.
