Pompey have finally released ticket details for the FA Cup Semi-Final game at Wembley against West Brom.
The club have been allocated 33,600 to sell in phases to fans on the club database (you'll be on there if you have purchased a ticket this season via the ticket office). It's quite a long winded process, so I've done my best to simplify things. Here's how it is:
Firstly, tickets are priced at £55, £45, £35 and £25 for adults. If you're a child, a senior or a student then you can knock a tenner off of each of those prices. You can see a stadium plan and what you might expect for your money on this page although you'd have to substitute the prices accordingly.
Tickets will be sold in four phases, each with their own allocation and method of buying.
Phase One: Tuesday March 18th 2pm - Saturday March 22nd Midnight
Allocation: 18,000
Season Ticket Holders and Blue Army/Junior Blue members can purchase ONE ticket each through "Ticketmaster" ONLY who can be called on 0844 847 1898. Be sure to have your client reference numbers at the ready!
Phase Two: Monday March 24th 6am - Wednesday March 26th Midnight
Allocation: 4,000
Season Ticket Holders ONLY can purchase two tickets for the game on a first come, first served basis. Again, you can only purchase the tickets through the "Ticketmaster" phone line.
Phase Three: Sunday March 16th - Saturday March 22nd
Allocation: 3,000
Supporters who went to the sixth round tie at Old Trafford OR the home game against Birmingham OR the upcoming game with Villa on Saturday will be able to apply for this game via post. This phase is NOT open to Season Ticket holders or Members.
You will have to send payment details along with up to two stubs from those three games, as each application can only be for a maximum of two tickets. Only successful applicants will be notified if they have managed to secure a ticket.
Note that only the tickets in the £45 category will be available for sale through this method.
Phase Four: Thursday March 27th 6am - Wednesday 2nd April Midnight
Allocation: 6,500 + any unsold tickets from previous phases.
Tickets will go on general sale to anyone registered on the PFC database. Up to TWO tickets can be bought via the Ticketmaster hotline.
In addition to these phases, 150 tickets for disabled supporters have been made available and can be purchased by post from Tuesday, March 18th to Saturday, March 22nd at £25 a piece. There will also be a special allocation for members of supporters groups such as Pompey exiles and the like.
I feel that PFC have been reasonably fair with how they've allocated the tickets. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to change the priority tickets needed in phase three for those fans who travelled to Ipswich and Preston as they were cup games after all.
I've never used Ticketmaster before so I can't give you any heads up as to how smoothly transactions go with them.
Here's hoping that every deserving supporter manages to get themselves to Wembley!
