Early Team News

Jamie O'Hara is Pompey's biggest doubt ahead of the final. He says he will do everything he can to declare himself fit, but two fractures in his lower spine mean that he could well miss the final.

Michael Brown may not play in the FA Cup Final due to his baby being due on May 15th! The midfielder says that he is trying every trick in the book to try and get the baby born a little earlier, but he's likely to put the birth of his child ahead of the cup final.

Paul Groves says that there is a slight chance that Richard Hughes may make the final after going off against Wolves on Saturday with a hamstring injury.

Danny Webber and Hermann Hreidarsson are out for the season with injury and so can't play.

Avram Grant has plenty of other injury concerns, but is hopeful these will clear in time for May 15th.

John Obi Mikel will miss the final for Chelsea after undergoing knee surgery and yesterday it emerged that John Terry had injured his foot in training, but he hasn't broken it and will definitely be fit for Saturday.

Kits

Chelsea won the toss and so will play in blue, meaning that Pompey will be playing in a special white kit with maroon trim which, like the semi-final shirt, has been produced by Kappa.

There are a limited amount of replicas available to pre-order for both the final and semi-final shirt, priced at £40 each.

The Referee

Chris Foy has been named the referee for this year's FA Cup Final having already taken charge of the Community Sheild match at the start of the season.

He has only officiated one Pompey match this season, the 3-2 home defeat to Bolton where he issued two yellow cards but no red cards. In total this season he has dished out 101 yellows and 5 reds in 34 games.

The Parade

Should Pompey triumph at Wembley on Saturday then there will be a parade similar to the one in 2008 which saw three open-top buses depart from Fratton Park and make their way to Southsea Common.

The buses will start their journey from Goldsmith Avenue at 3pm and will be expected to reach the big screen at the Common for 4pm, where Avram and the team will stay until around 5pm.

Of course, none of this will go ahead if Pompey lose the final.
