Welcome to the 2019 League One Promotion Race page. This will detail the final standings in the division now that the dust has almost settled on the battle to play Championship football next season.
Here are the final standings:
1st: Luton Town - 94pts (+48) - CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to Luton who defeated Oxford on the final day to ensure they won League One.
Current Form: DLWDLW (8 points from the last 18)
2nd: Barnsley - 91pts (+41) - PROMOTED
Barnsley lost their final game at Bristol Rovers and there are Pompey fans wondering what might have been if they could have beaten Peterborough on Tuesday.
Current Form: LWWWWL (12 points from the last 18)
3rd: Charlton Athletic - 88pts (+33)
The Addicks leapfrogged both Pompey and Sunderland on the final day courtesy of a 4-0 thrashing of Rochdale and will play Doncaster in the play-off semi-finals. They are the team in form and are the favourites for promotion now.
Current Form: WWLWWW (15 points from the last 18)
4th: Portsmouth - 88pts (+32)
Pompey's draw with Accrington means they finish in fourth place and will take on Sunderland in the play-offs. Kenny Jackett's men haven't won in their last three but can take solace that their opponents are in even worse form, so falling a place on the final day could be a blessing in disguise.
Current Form: WWWDLD (11 points from the last 18)
5th: Sunderland - 85pts (+33)
Sunderland will play Pompey in the play-offs having lost their last two matches and having not won in four. They haven't beaten the blues in three attempts and so Portsmouth fans should fancy their chances against Jack Ross's men.
Current Form: LWDDLL (5 points from the last 18)
6th Doncaster Rovers - 73pts (+18)
Doncaster secured the final play-off position on the last day and will be outsiders to win promotion. Pompey fans will be hoping that if Sunderland are beaten, it's Rovers rather than Charlton who await at Wembley.
Current Form: WWLLDW (10 points from the last 18)
