Drew Talbot has signed a two-year deal at Portsmouth following his release from Chesterfield.
The 29-year-old can play in a variety of positions but has been signed to play predominantly in the right back position as it's virtually certain that Ben Davies has rejected a new deal with Pompey judging by his tweet about having to move house after coming back from holiday.
Talbot has played as a striker back in his Luton days and has also featured in midfield when he started his professional career at Sheffield Wednesday. It's no surprise that Cook has gone in for a former player but let's hope he is a better utility man than Rommy Boco!
There's bound to be more transfer news on the horizon as it seems like Slovakian winger Milan Lalkovic will become Cook's fifth summer signing after he rejected a new deal with Walsall.
Who else will be joining the Pompey bandwagon in the upcoming weeks?
