Portsmouth have completed the signing of Alexsander Rodic from Gorica for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has been in good form for both club and country this season, and will now be looking to make the big step up to English Premier League football. There's no doubt it's going to be tough for him, especially with some fans already hoping for him to fail so they can have a dig at the club, but hopefully most people will SUPPORT him, like football SUPPORTERS are meant to do.
Milan spoke about the deal; "We have signed a bright young striker who is very sharp inside the box. He also has a goal-scoring prowess which has seen him score regularly at every level he has played. He is going to be an exciting asset for Portsmouth Football Club and we have every belief that he will carry on at Fratton Park where he has left off both domestically and internationally in Slovenia."
Subject to international clearance he should be available for the Middlesbrough match. I think we're probably the only club in the Premiership who can boast having a Slovenian international - and of course he follows in the footsteps of former Slovenian Sportsman of the Year, Mladen Rudonja, who played seventeen times for the blues.
