There was some sad news for Portsmouth Football Club today as former club captain Ron Tindall passed away peacefully in Australia at the age of 76.
Tindall joined Pompey from Reading in 1964 and played in every position in the team, including twice as a goalkeeper. In 1970 he became the club's manager until he was sacked in 1975 due to the financial crisis during the John Deacon era.
The man himself wrote a piece about his career four years ago which is well worth reading.
The thoughts of everyone at Fratton Faithful are currently with Ron's family.
