After holding Arsenal in their last match and beating arch-rivals Southampton before that, one might have expected the reserves to "do a number" on a Watford side who hadn't scored in five games before tonight. But hey, this is the reserves - where logic takes a back seat, where results don't really mean anything, and it's pretty much impossible to predict what's going to happen.
Watford scored their goals with a brace from Bouazza (no, I don't know who either) and another from Coleman, making his debut. To be honest with the team we had out, it's no real surprise - whilst Watford could boast the experience of Alec Chamberlain and Marcus Gayle, we were fielding the likes of Scott Harris and that Popovic chap who we've got on trial from Grays Athletic.
Wapenaar also helped himself to a rare start, since Guatelli was serving his ban for getting sent off against Southampton. But there was little he could do about any of the goals, and now he'll be back to warming the bench at West Leigh Park and plotting his escape to first team football elsewhere in England.
