For the last couple of months the reserve team has been absolutely dominated by youth players in an attempt for them to build up match experience. Last week they managed to pull out an incredible performance against a Leicester side who contained players with international experience, winning 4-3, but this time out we see the other side of the coin when it comes to fielding youngsters.
Out of the starting line-up, Guatelli was the highest ranked in terms of appearances for the Portsmouth first team - er, one, at Torquay in pre-season. James Keene however could hold his head up high as the most experienced player in the eleven, with a whopping great five appearances on loan at Kidderminster earlier in the season.
Well it's a steep learning curve, that's for sure.
