Portsmouth set to swoop for defender

The 21 year old defender, who plies his trade with Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv, has been scouted by Portsmouth for some months now, and after impressing, the young defender may become a summer transfer target as Redknapp aims to boost his defence.

The player, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is also attracting attention from a host of other clubs, including Blackburn Rovers.
