Portsmouth FC has revealed the new third kit for this season - a red and black halved shirt with red shorts and black socks.
The decision to bring back the popular colour scheme from the early 90's should see the kit sell well, but I'm personally not too keen on it.
The first thing I thought when I saw this kit was "Blackburn" and that cannot be a good thing. Not only that, but I don't believe that Pompey should ever wear red because it's a colour associated with our rivals and we already have a black away strip, so why have black as one of the main colours on an alternative kit too?
Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to see the popular gold kit brought back one day (although that might just be looking through tinted specs given that it's synonymous with Pompey's Division One winning season).
What do you think? You can take a look at the kit on the Pompey megastore here and pre-order it for its release on the 22nd of this month.
