Pompey Sign Hollands

Portsmouth have completed the permanent signing of Danny Hollands on a two-year deal with the option of an extra year.

The 28-year-old was a free agent after his release from Charlton and had other offers available to him, but he decided to join Pompey permanently as the club gave him his "buzz for football" back.

This may be Andy Awford's most important signing for next season give that he was an outstanding performer in Pompey's midfield and managed to bag five goals in seven games. So long as Danny isn't one of these players who impresses on loan but then performs poorly once signed permanently, it's safe to say that Pompey now have one of the best midfielders in the division in their squad.

So, who's next? Trevor Carson is expected to sign although Jamie Ashdown has expressed an interest in rejoining Portsmouth having been released by Leeds United via twitter of all things.

Reuben Reid has also been touted to join having been released by Yeovil although having played for Plymouth this season, they are currently favourites to sign him.

No doubt there'll be plenty of other names to be linked to Pompey as the summer progresses.
