Ben Chorley has signed for Portsmouth on an 18-month-deal.
The 31-year-old joins on a free transfer having left Stevenage and predominantly plays as a centre back. His "no nonsense" attitude should go down well with Pompey fans although he is bound to pick up bookings at a rapid rate given how aggressive he can be.
In fact, Chorley is unavailable for Saturday's trip to Morecambe because he serves the final match of a three game ban after receiving a straight red card for an "off the ball incident" with Oldham's Jonson Clarke-Harris earlier in the month.
Who knows? Ben might just become a Pompey cult hero given his reputation and the fans' liking for a complete nutter in the team!
