Pompey Reserves continued to be utter crap as they were thrashed by reserve league leaders Reading at West Leigh Park. This wasn't just your bog standard side either. This was a side that contained Jamie Ashdown, Richard Duffy, Andy O'Brien, David Thompson, Richard Hughes, Ognjen Koroman, Rudolphe Douala and Lomana LuaLua.
That's right! A team that boasted no fewer than five full internationals were fed to the slaughter by an opposition side that contained the likes of Ulises de la Cruz, Sam Sodje and John Oster.
Thankfully I decided not to turn up to watch this shower of shite and instead I scouted our opponents for next Saturday as Chelsea took on Barcelona and picked up a well deserved win. From what I hear though if it wasn't for some top quality saves by Jamie Ashdown it could have been much worse as Reading dominated the game from start to finish.
Goals from Brynjar Gunnarsson, Jonathan Hayes, Pierre Joseph-Dubois and a brace from Shane Long completed the rout.
So much for strength in depth eh?
