Liverpool duo Peter Crouch and Yossi Benayoun look like they might be out of Harry Redknapp's reach if reports are to be believed.
Pompey have had a £9 million bid for Crouch turned down by Liverpool who are believed to want £10 million for the England striker.
They are also said to be uninterested in add-on fee deals as it is reported that Portsmouth offered an initial £7 million for the lanky striker with an extra £2 million going their way depending on appearances for club and country, but this was rejected.
Harry has hinted that he is unwilling to let Alexandre Gaydamak fork out the extra million that would supposedly secure Crouch's services. Instead, he says he will move onto other targets and may play a waiting game, hoping that the likes of Aston Villa or Man City don't steal him with their extra financial backing.
Another Red, Yossi Benayoun, is also another player that Harry wants but the Israeli wide man has stated his desire to stay at Anfield "for the rest of his career".
