Pompey Raided By Police

Portsmouth were named as one of three clubs who were raided this morning along with Newcastle United and Rangers in an investigation into corruption in football. The police are also investigating two currently un-named individuals.

The exact details of the investigation and the raids are not yet known but police have said that this is an independent inquiry to Lord Stevens' Quest probe.

More details to come, but a police raid on the club would suggest that the issue is a serious one.
