Michael Doyle has extended his contract at Portsmouth until the summer of 2017.
The 34-year-old skipper has been one of Pompey's top performers this season and if Ben Davies is currently the obvious choice for the "Player of the Season" award then Doyle would certainly be the football hipster's choice for his consistency, leadership and no-nonsense style of play that has meant that James Dunne hasn't been as missed as first thought during pre-season.
It has also been confirmed that Matt Clarke's loan from Ipswich has been extended until the end of the season. Had Christian Burgess not been injured against Hartlepool then he probably would have returned to his parent club but he has been more than solid during his time at Fratton Park and the Tractor Boys will have an excellent centre back in their squad come the future.
Over to you, Caolan...
