Portsmouth Football Club could well be taken over again next week according to Keith Harris.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Harris claimed that thing "have moved very fast" and "there is very little to be done" so we should expect a positive outcome within the week.
When asked whether the new owners would be Conver Sports Initiatives, the group headed by Roman Dubov, Vladimir Antonov and Chris Akers, Harris virtually admitted that it was them (he certainly didn't deny it).
Harris was keen to stress that the new owners are focused on long term success for Pompey and the deal is now in the hands of solicitors with due diligence currently taking place, with the Football League having to "OK" the deal afterwards.
Despite Harris' claims, CSI representatives have claimed that the deal is "close" but will not be wrapped up within the week. We can only hope that this doesn't become a saga much like the Sulaiman Al-Fahim takeover in the summer of 2009.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this deal will signal the end of Chainrai and co. so the conclusion to what has been a rollercoaster season may well be an exciting one after all. However, knowing Pompey, there are plenty more twists and turns in this story to come.
