Paul Cook has added his ninth summer signing to his squad by bringing in Jayden Stockley on loan from AFC Bournemouth until January.
The 21-year-old striker scored two goals in three games for Cambridge last season and three goals in thirteen games for Luton this year. He is known for working hard up front and at 6' 2'' he will make a good target man and therefore will be a suitable alternative to Matt Tubbs and Adam McGurk.
With another striker signed Cook will surely be looking for a full back or two to complete his squad with James Dunne and Johnny Ertl possibly leaving the club this summer.
Saturday's first pre-season friendly at Havant & Waterlooville will give Pompey fans some clues as to who may be released or sold in the near future as well as a glimpse of what the nine new players are capable of.
