Pompey have been rocked by the news that Sol Campbell is set to miss the final two crunch games at the end of the season with an achilles injury. The Portsmouth defender had a scan this week which revealed a tear and Harry Redknapp confirmed that he will miss the rest of the campaign.
This news will mean that Dejan Stefanovic will partner Linvoy in the centre for the rest of the season, with Djimi Traore at left back. What's worse is that Matthew Taylor could also miss the game with Everton on Saturday following his injury against Liverpool, but the situation will become clearer later.
The better news is that Pedro Mendes might be fit enough to make a comeback at Goodison Park.
It looks like David James, who took both the fans' and players' official Player Of The Season award will be a busy man for these last two games!
