Simon Ferry and John Sullivan have been released by Portsmouth Football Club.
Ferry has left for family reasons as his family, newborn baby included, have struggled to settle in the south and so he has now moved back to Scotland. It's a shame to see him go as he could have played a big part in Pompey's season if he could have stayed fit as he made a huge difference when he was on the pitch.
The less said about Sullivan the better. I still have nightmares about his performance at York which ultimately saw him never play for Pompey again. He'll probably end up at a non-league side.
The two departures means that Awford now has to find someone to replace Ferry which won't be easy and someone to provide some competition for Paul Jones in goal.
It should be a busy summer.
