Rovers' win at Fulham means they leap the Blues who now drop into 18th place as a result. Pompey do have a game in hand over the rest of the relegation battlers but given that it's away to Manchester United you just as well write that one off.
Only goal difference seperates Pompey from the "safe zone" with Newcastle just ahead on goal difference. Let's hope that those early season hammerings by Chelsea and Man City don't come back to haunt us...
