Portsmouth will play Torquay United away in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Pompey have not been to Plainmoor since August 1999 when they drew 0-0 in the League Cup. The return leg at Fratton Park was won 3-0.
The tie will take place on the week commencing the 2nd of September and may well be selected for Sky TV.
