The court case between PKF and Portpin regarding the valuation of Fratton Park will be held on Wednesday, April 10th or Thursday, April 11th.
The Portsmouth Supporters' Trust will be hoping that the court will rule in their favour with their valuation of the ground and have offered £2.75 million whilst Balram Chainrai and co. are demanding around £9 million.
This date now means that Pompey are very likely to begin next season in League Two on -10 points. Because the club will now be taken over after March 28th the Football League rules state that the points penalty can be carried over to next season if Pompey are relegated on merit at the end of this one.
Given that Pompey are still 11 points off safety in League One it's safe to assume that relegation is certain and thus the previous delays to this court case has potentially ruined next season too.
However, the main priority is ensuring that court ruling is in the Trust's favour, the club can be bought and this painful saga can finally be put to an end.
