Portsmouth has confirmed the "emergency" loan signing of Bjorn-Helge Riise from Fulham.
The 28-year-old Norwegian has struggled to break into the Cottagers' team this season having just made four appearances in Europa League qualifying matches for Martin Jol's men.
The younger brother of John-Arne, who also plays at Fulham, can operate across the whole midfield but if Steve Cotterill's comments are a clue as to where he'll play then it seems like he will be given a central midfield berth.
Bjorn played at Fratton Park last season for Sheffield United in a 1-0 defeat for his team but he was one of the better players for the Blades that day and caused problems in the second half.
Whether he will prove to be a shrewd signing is only something time will tell as he hasn't played regularly enough at any club to make a solid judgement.
However, if he is to make the same impact as the other Norwegian at Pompey did on Saturday then he will be most welcome here!
