Portsmouth will begin their fourth season in League Two with a home match against Carlisle United on August 6th.
The first away match of the season will be at Gresty Road to take on relegated Crewe Alexandra whilst three days later the Pompey fans face the first of their two Tuesday night trips to Lancashire to take on Morecambe.
The second of those trips to the northwest will be to take on Blackpool on September 27th, ruining all those plans for a nice weekend at the seaside. Pompey's other Tuesday night away match is at Luton on November 22nd. Nice of the newly branded "EFL" to think of the fans, isn't it?
Like last season, Pompey fans will probably want to stay at home on Boxing Day as one of the worst away trips in the league to Newport County is on that day whilst New Year's Eve celebrations for some Blues supporters will be in Somerset as Paul Cook's men travel to Yeovil Town.
Should Portsmouth repeat their FA Cup journey of last season then matches against Doncaster (A) and Exeter (H) will be postponed whilst Valentine's Day will see Blackpool come down to Fratton Park for a Tuesday night game.
Pompey will be at home on the final day of the season on May 6th as they take on National League champions Cheltenham Town but hopefully promotion will be celebrated the week before that at Mansfield.
All fixtures are subject to change with the international breaks giving the opportunity for Sky to televise a Portsmouth match. Therefore matches against Crawley (H), Leyton Orient (A), Mansfield (H) and Newport (H) have a small chance of being screened.
On a final note, the first chance for Pompey to avenge their play-off defeat to Plymouth Argyle comes with a visit to Home Park on October 15th. The reverse match is on April 15th, virtually a year on from the corresponding fixture last season which ended hopes of automatic promotion.
Bring 'em on!
