Gary Johnson's side were close to playing Pompey in the league this season but were beaten at Wembley by Hull City. The team from Ashton Gate currently lie 14th in the Championship this season.
This is a fair draw for us and most will expect Pompey to progress to the next round so long as Tony Adams plays his strongest team. City will be dangerous opposition though, so nothing can be taken for granted as the FA Cup taught everyone last year with many shock results.
The tie will be played on either the 3rd or 4th of January.
