Pericard scan results - it's not good news

Vincent Pericard has sustained cruciate knee ligament damage and now faces months on the sidelines. The incident came during the striker's comeback from a serious thigh injury, just as he seemed to be getting fit again and was eyeing up a loan move away for first team experience.
Following a coming together with Allaedine Yahia in last night's reserve match with Southampton, Pericard was clearly in some agony. He eventually needed to be stretched off the pitch. But not in his worst nightmares could the young striker have feared this serious an injury.
Vince will now have to be looking at 2005/6 for his comeback.
