Jason Pearce has finalised his transfer to Leeds United for a reported fee of £500,000.
Pompey's player of the season was always going to be one of the first players to leave Fratton Park and whilst he has been sold for far less than what he is worth, the club will probably receive even less money due to agents fees having to be paid.
Still, whilst Portsmouth FC is in such a perilous financial position this is always going to be the case and the likes of Greg Halford, Luke Varney and David Norris will probably leave for cut-price fees too.
Leeds have got themselves a totally committed player who puts his body in the way of everything and also possesses an aerial threat. His passing might be poor in pressure situations but he is too good for League One.
I wish Jason all the best at Elland Road. I'm sure there'll be many otherPompey fans who follow his career with interest too.
