Pompey have signed Craig Westcarr on a two-year-deal with the option of a further year after he was released by Walsall at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old scored 17 goals for the Saddlers last season and judging by what other fans say about him, the former Chesterfield and Notts County man isn't the kind of player to do a lot of running but possesses a good strike. He is capable of scoring 20 goals or more in League Two next season.
Sonny Bradley has, as expected, left Portsmouth for Crawley Town today. He has signed a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee which could be used to sign Havant & Waterlooville midfielder Nigel Atangana.
It'll be interesting to see how Sonny copes at a higher level given the mistakes he made during his latest season in League Two but he does have the potential to develop into a quality player. Only time will tell if Andy Awford will rue letting him go.
The recruitment drive is starting to gather pace now. Who else is the manager planning to sign for his team this summer?
