Hayden Mullins has completed his loan switch to Reading for the rest of the season.
The 32-year-old had been a mainstay in the Portsmouth team this season but has been sacrificed as Trevor Birch continues to raise cash to ensure the club survives.
It is disappointing to be losing one of our most consistent performers over the last couple of years. He may have been gone off the boil recently but that could be due to his "head not being right" as Michael Appleton stated in a recent interview.
I'd like to wish Hayden well if he doesn't return to Pompey after his spell with the Royals. He had a slow start to his career as he had the impossible job of replacing Lassana Diarra but soon won the respect of fans during the 2010 FA Cup run with some excellent displays at full back.
He went on to win the player of the season award last year but still continued to be criticised by fans for his lack of forward passing, even though he liked to get stuck in.
We'll find out just how much we'll miss him in the coming weeks.
