(More) Transfer Talk

According to his agent he's keen on a move to Fratton Park. Unfortunately the stumbling block appears to be that we only want him on loan so he can prove his worth, whilst the player himself wants a permanent deal. Given that he's valued by Arsenal between £1-2m, a fee that he is blantantly not worth, I can see this deal falling through. The fact that Pompey have commented on this to the media is another surefire sign that we're not confident on signing him; after all we only normally talk to the press about deals when they're slipping away and we're trying to force a player into a decision.

Alexander Rodic
After all of four appearances in the royal blue, he's now set to join Den Haag - who no doubt we all remember from the friendly the other week. After a failed trial at Metz last month, a brief spell with the Dutch side has convinced them that he's up to scratch. It seems to be only a matter of time before the case is closed on one of the more bizarre signings in our history; in years to come he'll be mentioned in the same breath as Heikkinen and Olszar.

If rumours are to believed (that is to say, if the tabloids are to be believed), we're all set to pay up the remainder of his contract for a total of £500,000. Once that's done and dusted then he'll move on to Sheffield United. Perrin, meanwhile, has seemingly quashed that story by admitting that whilst he is in discussions with a Championship side, we're not prepared to pay any money to release him from his contract and that if it all falls through then he'll still have to train with us. In fact, Monsieur Alain almost seemed positive about Pie Man staying on here, saying that he sets a good example for the younger players. A good example for what I'm not exactly sure.

Steffen Iversen
The media in Norway are reporting that we're one of four Premiership clubs chasing the former Spurs striker, who apparently has re-found his form after a return to the Scandinavian leagues. Please no.

Giannis Skopelitis
As mentioned on here a couple of months ago, it turns out that he is only on loan. The facts were revealed by Milan on "The Quay" on Thursday evening although apparently the reason he was unveiled as a permanent signing is because the decision to keep him is up to us, rather than the selling club. Therefore, we are to assume that he'll be here for all three years of his contract, so he is announced at his full price. Or something. The bottom line is that we've currently paid a little over £300,000 for him and Alain will make a decision on his future in January.

Lomano LuaLua
Ok, so no rumours yet, but given that Frederic Kanouté has just moved from White Hart Lane how long can it be until the infamous "Lua to Spurs" rumours rear their ugly head again?
