The Croation international had jarred a hamstring during the first 45 minutes of the game at Fratton Park.
"I thought that Mornar did well and was very lively up front. He certainly caused them some problems," explained Redknapp.
"But he was having trouble late in the first half and after all the injury problems I've had, particularly with my strikers, I decided to pull him off at half time.
