Harry Redknapp has made his fourth January signing by loaning Lucien Aubey from RC Lens.
The versatile 23-year-old can play at left back, left midfield and centre back whilst he is described by Redknapp as someone who is "big, strong and quick".
He joins on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal - subject to international clearance so it's doubtful he will play against Derby tomorrow.
Aubey is a former French U-21 international who joined Lens from Toulouse where he was an important player in helping them secure a Champions League place before signing for the Sang et Or.
Lens are currently struggling in the bottom three of Ligue Une and according to my Lens supporting friend, Aubey is a good player who she had high expectations of but he never really made an impact at the club and so he won't be missed by her.
Hopefully Harry can bring the best out of Aubey and he will find the form that gave him such a high reputation at Toulouse.
Welcome to the club Lucien!
Edit: Djimi Traore has joined French side Rennes on laon for the rest of the season. I'm sure he won't be missed, despite not disgracing himself in Pompey colours.
