Loan ranger

"King Kev", as he is known by nobody, has extended his loan spell at Championship side Leicester City. Although having already spent a month in the Midlands, Harper has been restricted to only one appearance due to a calf injury - although during that match, he registered an assist in the 2-0 win over Rotherham. This instant impression was enough to persuade manager Micky Adams to offer the Wee Scotsman another four weeks of lower league hoof-related misery.

Although having been at the club for four years, Harper has had a torrid time of it. Injuries originally restricted his chances, and then he fell out of favour, and when he finally made it into the team he was adopted as a "boo boy" by a minority of supporters - culminating in 01/02, when he was sent off more times than he scored. His best time at the club came in the League winning season, when not only did he begin to convince supporters of his worth, but also got a call up to the Scotland squad. However, since then he has been out on loan and now with options such as Stone, Duffy, and even Kamara on the wings, Kevin's days are surely numbered.
