Time was we had ten players out away from Fratton. Back then, we really had a "loan army" thing going on. Unfortunately now they've been recalled, been sold, got injured - whatever the reason, numbers are dwindling a bit. Here's how the remainder are doing.
Richard Duffy: Came on early in the second half for Burnley as they beat Nottingham Forest 1-0. The Welsh U21 international picked up a booking in his time on the field.
John Curtis: Played the whole of Preston's 1-1 draw with Millwall.
Rowan Vine: Featured in Sky's live cup game on Friday night, as his Luton team overcame Southend United 3-0. Although he failed to score again, he did play a big part in setting up Howard's second with some good work on the left. Rowan will have fond memories of this tournament; last year he scored a hat trick for Colchester against Coventry.
Gary Silk: Played the whole game for Wycombe as they overcame mighty Coalville Town by the margin of one goal to nil.
Shaun Cooper: Played the whole game for Kidderminster on Friday night, as they travelled to Port Vale. Unfortunately his team lost 3-1, although he did clear the ball off the line after the home team had a penalty saved. The spot kick was conceded by...
James Keene: A player who isn't have the best time of it at Harriers. So far he's yet to score, been booked, subbed after an hour in this game, seen his side go bottom of the football league and have the manager who brought him in on loan resign. Yikes!
