Nicke Kabamba has been loaned to Aldershot for the rest of the season.
This is a pivotal time for a player who has to prove he is worthy of a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of the season having failed to make an impact at Colchester earlier in the season.
At 24, Nicke doesn't fall into the "young prospect" category and there is already a similar player to him currently at Portsmouth in Ollie Hawkins and so he is going to have to bang in the goals quickly if he is to prove his worth to Kenny Jackett.
The Shots, currently managed by ex-Pompey caretaker Gary Waddock, are second in the National League and therefore are the perfect platform for Kabamba to showcase his talents.
It's a big five months for Nicke but will he make his time in North Hampshire count?
