With all the goings on at Portsmouth FC this week with transfer news and Gaydamak's investment you might have forgotten we actually have a match tommorow!
We travel to Suffolk to take on Ipswich Town and their side has changed a lot since the last time we travelled there and got hammered 3-0 following a promotion hangover. For starters there's no Darren Bent, Shefki Kuqi or Tommy Miller who were arguably their best players last season. They also have quite a few injuries and are struggling at the wrong end of the table so there is no reason why we can't go there and get a result. Knowing us though we'll cock it up as we did against Gillingham earlier this season.
This will be Lua Lua's final game before he buggers off to the African Nations Cup so I'm looking for a big performance from him and also Olisadebe could make his debut for us so it'll be interesting to see how he performs. And once again I ask the same question. Will Toddy play? He deserves his chance and looked lively against Blackburn. Other than that expect the side that lost 2-1 to Blackburn with no other real suprises.
To be honest, I'm one of these people who thinks that Premiership survival is the aim and a cup run would be a bonus. The extra games won't be good so as silly as it sounds I'd rather us go there and either win or lose. We can't be doing with a replay in our situation.
