Gary O'Neil is the latest addition, ruled out of the crunch game against West Brom at the weekend with a badly bruised foot. At first it was feared he may have broken a bone and would be out for weeks, but thankfully an x-ray proved otherwise. Even so, as one of the few who looked bothered last night, it's a big loss.
Thankfully midfield is a place where we've got lots of cover - Quashie, Faye, Hughes, Cisse, Mezague, Berger, Berkovic - but even so, for a young lad who's been in decent (and indeed goalscoring) form lately, it's a mighty shame.
